In your home, a properly functioning heating system not only provides a comfortable temperature, it also sets your environment.

In the wintertime, you want a nice, warm comfy-cozy home. In the summertime, you definitely don’t want your furnace turning on in the middle of the night.

Different types of home heating include:
Radiant Heat:
You’ve probably seen radiant heat installations on “This Old House”. Radiant heat uses a series of thin tubes beneath your flooring surface (or in your walls) that circulates heated water throughout the system, thus generating heat that seems to come from everywhere, rather than from one or two points in the room.
Baseboard Heat:
Uses a series of enclosed finned heated tubes mounted at the base of your wall. Cool air flows over these tubes and then, because warm air rises, a convection effect is created. Baseboard heat tends to be popular in smaller rooms such as bathrooms.
Furnaces (Forced Air):
A forced-air heating system draws room air through ductwork and a filter into a furnace, where the air is heated. The warmed air is then blown back to rooms through ductwork. With older "gravity" furnaces, the heated air is delivered by natural convection, not by a blower.

Performing a tune-up on your forced-air system cleans it, making it operate more efficiently which will save you money on your fuel costs. We make sure your filters are clean, your ducts are not blocked, and your system does not have any worn, defective or damaged components. All furnace manufacturers and utility companies recommend performing an annual tune-up to keep your system running smoothly and efficiently to save you money.
Boilers:
Hot water boiler heating is the cleanest, most efficient way to heat your home. Since 1985, Accurate Plumbing & Heating has been installing and servicing boilers for residents and small businesses throughout Staten Island and New Jersey.

Today’s boilers offer many safety and environmental advantages. They use less fuel and produce fewer toxic byproducts such as carbon monoxide. This makes for a cleaner environment both inside and outside the home or business.
